Alumni Reunion Village Opens Friday

Day 3 of Village Days is loaded with entertainment for those of all ages.

Greendale’s Village Days have always been about bringing the community together.

This year, festivities will bring 75 years worth of Greendale alumni under one roof.

Friday’s big event is the opening of Alumni Village, where alumni from all 75 years of Greendale’s graduating classes of 1938 through 2013 will meet under a massive tent in Alumni Reunion Village in Dale Creek Park (behind the east shops on Broad Street).

Graduates of Greendale High School, Martin Luther High School and the very early years of Milwaukee high schools can renew old acquaintances and share stories of growing up in Greendale.

“I don’t know what to expect,” event coordinator David Miller said. “ Somebody said the other day when alumni get together, they act like they are in high school.”
