Ever since a little child, I have been fascinated by the outdoors. My parent's blessed me with a large yard to play in, and even more important a set of woods behind the house for me to explore. I fell in love with fresh air and the freedom to discover what world lies outside walls. During my grade school years I was fortunate enough to take many month long trips with my family all over the country. I am proud to say that I have visited 45 states in my years of traveling. Yet more than that statistic, I was able to embark on adventures that will be impossible to forget. Backpacking, canoeing, whitewater rafting, mountain climbing, I have loved it all. 

Life settled down once I entered high school and I no longer had as much opportunity to take those long extended trips. Yet with the advent of obtaining my drivers license, a whole new world was opened up to me. I have learned to appreciate my own neck of the woods far more than I had ever thought possible. Although the physical landscape of southeastern Wisconsin may not compare to the grandeur of the Rockies, or the Grand Canyon, it has a beauty of its own. 

I look forward to sharing my love of local and national wonders, as well as learning about the reasons why everyone else chooses to call this place home.
