Greenfield Man Caught Driving Drunk in Greendale, Police Say

Suspect is accused of his second OWI charge after a Greendale police officers finds him driving drunk in a pickup truck with a suspended registration.

A 27-year-old Greenfield man is accused of driving drunk through Greendale in November. Matthew H. Adkins was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of second offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to six months in jail and $1,100 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 12:48 a.m. Nov. 17, a Greendale police officer pulled Adkins over near South 76th Street and West Grange Avenue after he spotted him driving a pickup truck with a suspended registration. The officer noticed Adkin’s breath smelled of alcohol and he had slurred speech. Adkins then failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.12. Franklin Man Charged With 3rd OWI

Suspect is pulled over for a defective brake light when a Greendale police officer notices his eyes are glassy.

  A Franklin man is facing his third drunk driving charges after he was pulled over in Greendale with a defective brake light. Jeffrey A. Baudry, 51, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of third offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one year in county jail and $2,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Sept. 13, a Greendale police officer pulled Baudry over in the 5200 block of West Grange Avenue after he noticed a defective brake light on the car. Baudry had glassy eyes and said he drank two to four drinks before driving. He was asked to get out of the car and the officer then smelled alcohol coming from Baudry. Speeding Man Charged With 3rd OWI

Franklin man becomes argumentative towards a Greendale police officer after he fails field sobriety tests.

A 52-year-old Franklin man is facing his third drunken driving charge after he was caught allegedly speeding through Greendale in August. Darren D. Host was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of third offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one years in county jail and $2,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Aug. 22, a Greendale police officer spotted Host in the 5900 block of West Loomis Road doing 59 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour speed zone. The officer pulled him over and could smell alcohol coming from inside the car. Suspect is driving through Greenfield when he allegedly runs two red lights in front of a police officer.

A 38-year-old Greendale man is facing felony drunk driving charges after he was spotted running red lights in Greenfield last week. Jeffrey J. Tatera was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of fifth offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Thursday, a Greenfield police officer was on patrol when he spotted Tatera drive through a red light at the intersection of West Forest Home Avenue and West Morgan Avenue.   A 54-year-old Greendale man is facing charges after he allegedly flipped his van while getting onto I-94 and driving drunk, then left his injured friends inside so he could walk home before police arrived. Nathan L. Kaddatz was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of fourth offense operating while intoxicated within five years, one count of causing great bodily harm by intoxicated use of a vehicle and one count of second offense operating while intoxicated and causing injury. It's not that they think they can keep drinking and driving, it's that they think they can keep drinking. These people have a drinking problem. They think they can control alcohol, but it is controlling them. Wisconsin doesn't have a drunk driving problem, Wisconsin has a problem with alcoholism. The second offense needs to be a felony.   more ›
