Laser Light Show to Accompany Village Days in 2013

Greendale trustees approve hiring a company to run a laser light show as part of an extended Village Days program next year to celebrate the 75th year of the village.

Greendale is adding a little pizzazz to its 75th Anniversary celebration with the addition of a laser light show. The Greendale Village Board gave unanimous approval Tuesday to hire Connecticut Lasers to run a laser light show on Aug. 8 in front of village hall. The show will last one hour and be projected down Broad Street. “I think it’s going to be a great addition to the event,” Trustee James Birmingham said. Village Days is scheduled to increase from three days to five days in 2013 and the laser light show will be added as part of the additional days. Village Hair Design, established on Greendale's Broad Street since the 1960s, has been in its current location for over two years, according to co-managers and stylists Linda Villwock and Elizabeth Kramer. The salon is hosted by a family of technicians with two major goals in mind: providing full service and versatility to clients. "What makes us special is our versatility.
