A local salon has broken a Guinness World Record by shaving the most heads in an hour while also managing to raise $50,000. Hairdressers from Roots Salon, with locations in Greendale and Brookfield, came together for the “Be Brave and Shave” event at the Brookfield Soccer Complex in October and shaved 371 heads in an hour. Three Whitnall High School alumni organized the event after they found out their friend’s 2-year-old daughter, Haven Anderson, had been diagnosed with cancer. Haven's mother, Erin, is a biology teacher at Chapparal High School in Denver. A few Greendale people are coming together to shave 400 heads. Yes, shave. Three Whitnall High School alumni and a group of hair stylists are going to attempt to break a Guinness World Record for most heads shaved in an hour by a team. The current record is 318 heads shaved. The event World Record Shave was inspired by 2-year-old Haven Anderson, who has been diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma in the adrenal gland that has metastasized to her spinal cord and her chest. Haven's mother, Erin, is a biology teacher at Chapparal High School in Denver.
