The Greendale School District is getting closer to choosing the new superintendent and will seek out community involvement in making the final selection. Superindent William Hughes resigned on July 1. Hughes served the district as superintendent since 1996 and left the district to work as director of leadership development with Schools That Can Milwaukee. Bussiness Manager Erin Green has been serving as the Interim Superintendent since Hughes' depature. Greendale residents can now view compiled report that will assist in the search for the new Greendale School District superintendent.
A leadership profile report and desired attributes for the next superintendent of the Greendale Schools have been released and are available for viewing. Current Superintendent Dr. William Hughes will leave the District on July 1 and the search for a new Superintendent is underway. The report includes the findings of a leadership profile assessment conducted by Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA). It will be used by the Board of Education to assist in identifying the next superintendent. HYA met with 118 community members, parents, faculty, staff and students in either individual interviews or focus group settings. HYA also compiled results of the online survey. Erin Green, director of business services, will serve as interim superintendent on July 1, 2012 for the Greendale School District. Dr. William Hughes, who announced his resignation, has served the district as superintendent since 1996 and is leaving to work as director of leadership development with Schools That Can Milwaukee. The deadline for the online community superintendent profile survey is June 5. A contracted firm is seeking community input to help develop a leadership profile that will assist in the recruitment of Greendale’s next superintendent. On Thursday the firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates held a community forum in which parents gave their insight on what they would like see in the next superintendent. The district has its work cut out for it in finding a replacement for Superintendent William Hughes: A number of parents said they would like someone who is as visible and approachable as Hughes.
One parent said she wished the new Greendale superintendent could be a clone of outgoing Superintendent William Hughes. A contracted firm will seek community input through an open forum and online survey to help develop a leadership profile that will assist in the recruitment of Greendale’s next superintendent. The Greendale School Board selected the firm Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA) to assist with the district's search for the next Superintendent after Dr. William Hughes announced his resignation effective July 1, 2012. The Greendale School Board has selected the firm Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA) to assist with the District's search for the next Superintendent. The Greendale School District will soon hire a recruiting consulting firm to help in the search for a new superintendent who will replace William Hughes.
The Greendale School District is mapping out the plan to replace Superintendent William Hughes, who announced his resignation effective July 1. The board will be interviewing recruiting consulting firms on May 12. One firm will be hired to scout the new Greendale superintendent. The search process will commence immediately after a firm is chosen. The following search firms will be interviewed by the Board of Education: School Exec Connect BWP & Associates, LTD Ray and Associates, Inc. Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates Superintendent interviews will take place mid-June and the final selection will be made at the end of June.
