U.S. Cellular Might be Constructed in Front of Walmart

The Village Board will review the application for a building that will be built across the street from Southridge Mall.

Construction of a U.S. Cellular building in one of Walmart's outlots is up for consideration by the Greendale Village Board. Two outlots for tenants were part of the plan that was approved for the nearly constructed Walmart across the street from Southridge Mall. The other outlot will be occupied by Chick-Fil-A, which will be built sometime in the Summer. Woman Accused of Using Young Niece to Steal a Phone

Greendale police say a Milwaukee woman, 17, had her young niece take a cell phone from a Southridge Mall store and was later arrested with other stolen goods.

A Milwaukee woman is accused of using her young niece to steal an employee's cell phone from Southridge Mall. Triscilla T. Beckworth, 17, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of theft. If convicted, she faces up to nine months in prison and $1,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Oct. 14, a manager at US Cellular inside Southridge saw Beckworth direct a young child to take an employee's cell phone, which was valued at $600. The child took the cell phone and the two left the store. Beckworth later went to activate the phone and was then arrested by Greendale police officers. Beckworth told officers her niece took the phone from the store. At the time of the arrest, Beckworth was also …
