Week#38: The Trimborn Farmhouse is a wonderful example of the Milwaukee Cream City brick construction of the mid 1850’s. The Farmhouse is part of the historically significant Trimborn Farm in Greendale, and the lime production industry in Wisconsin.

Re-enactors will discuss the soldiering experience and demonstrate weapons, including an actual Civil War cannon, and other equipment.
The Milwaukee County Historical Society at Trimborn Farm will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War on Friday evening, October 5. Renowned Civil War historian Lance Herdegen will discusses his brand new book, The Iron Brigade in the Civil War: Bull Run to Appomattox, 1861-65. Following Herdegen’s lecture, join the military and civilian re-enactors in tours of their campsites – bring a flashlight and a jacket! The festival featured over a hundred vendors selling original artwork, such as holiday decor, soaps, knitting, jewelry and much more.
The 30th Annual Harvest Festival of Arts & Crafts, hosted by the Milwaukee County Historical Society, featured music, activities, and quality and original artwork from over 100 vendors from throughout the Midwest. The festival continues through Sunday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

An exciting look into the 29th Harvest of Art & Crafts at Trimborn Farm and all the talented artists from all over Wisconsin that came together to display their work in the city of Greendale! Over 120 exhibitors gathered with their creations throughout the grounds and in the historic buildings. The show ran from September 10 to September 11.

Over 120 exhibitors will be selling their high quality, hand-crafted items at the 29th Annual Harvest of Art & Crafts Show on September 10 and 11 at Trimborn Farm. Each artist is carefully selected by a jury from a pool of applications. The jury selects only the best artists to participate in the show. Musical entertainment and delicious refreshments will be available as well. Limited free parking is available on-site. Additional free parking is available at Southridge Mall or on Parking Street in downtown Greendale. A complimentary shuttle will operate between Southridge Mall, downtown Greendale, and Trimborn Farm. Regular event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and admission is $5.00 for adults.
