Approachability, Visibility Important to Superintendent Candidate

Susan Borden, one of two finalists for Greendale superintendent, has served as superintendent of the Germantown School District for the past two years.

Superintendent candidate Susan Borden likes to be visible to and approachable by community members, and sees Greendale as a perfect place to do that. Borden is a former teacher and elementary school principal who has worked in Franklin and Muskego. She has spent the last two years as superintendent for the Germantown School District. Community members had the chance to meet the other superintendent candidate Monday night. Borden held her meet-and-greet session Tuesday evening, and told school officials and community members that she’s interested in coming to Greendale for the small town charm. Borden has a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She served as one of 30 superintendents …

Greendale Announces Superintendent Finalists

Two candidates have been selected as finalists for the Greendale School District superintendent job. The community is invited to meet them at events next week.

Correction: Incorrect information was supplied to Patch about finalist John Tharp's most recent job title. It has been corrected below.  The Greendale Board of Education has selected two finalists to fill the open superintendent position vacated by William Hughes.  Both candidates have doctorate degrees and prior experience as district administrators. The two candidates will visit the district next week to meet with school groups and the public.  The “meet and greet” sessions will be held at the Greendale High School Library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
