Suspect tells police she's just holding the drugs for a friend.
A 29-year-old Franklin woman is facing drug charges after she was caught allegedly carrying cocaine in her purse while shoplifting at Southridge Mall. Jennifer L. Copsey was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of possession of cocaine. If convicted, she faces up to one year in county jail and $5,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On July 17, Greendale police officers were called to Kohl’s Department Store after Copsey was detained for shoplifting. When officers arrived, they searched her purse and found 0.1 grams of cocaine hidden in a baggie inside a compartment in her purse. Copsey told officers she was only holding the drugs for a friend. A 23-year-old Hales Corners woman is facing felony charges after she was caught allegedly stealing clothes from a store at Southridge Mall in an effort to help her get over her heroin addiction. Allison M. Spormann was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of felony retail theft. If convicted, she faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. A Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was caught allegedly carrying Suboxone strips in his wallet while being suspected of shoplifting at SouthridgeMall. Ryan J. A 37-year-old Greenfield woman is facing charges after she allegedly was caught shoplifting at Southridge Mall with crack cocaine in her purse. Roechelle M. Kroll was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of retail theft, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of cocaine. If convicted, she faces up to nearly two years in prison and $8,000 in fines. An Oak Creek woman is facing charges after she allegedly tried to steal $2,000 worth of merchandise from Boston Store at Southridge Mall. Francesca Seymour, 49, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of retail theft. If convicted, she faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Jan. 15, security officers at Boston Store saw Seymour come in and take a large amount of jewelry, makeup and clothes, put them in her shopping cart and then go to a fitting room for 40 minutes.
