Greendale Class of 2012 Receives Over $2.2 Million in Scholarships

The current award total for the 214 Greendale graduating seniors is $2,281,531.

Over $2.2 million of scholarships have been awarded to the Greendale High School Class of 2012.   The current award total for the 214 graduating seniors is $2,281,531, and three students have already received full tuition scholarships. Trish Matlock, a Guidance Counselor at Greendale High School, is very pleased with the funds the students received this year.  “This is the second highest total that I have seen since I started working at Greendale,” said Matlock.  “Our students work very hard and it is nice to see them rewarded for their hard work.  Many of the students received scholarships based on their course load and GPA over all four years of high school.” The high school has a special Facebook page dedicated to helping seniors find …

Greendale Chamber of Commerce Accepting Scholarship Applications

The $1,000 scholarship will be open only to Greendale residents.

The Greendale Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2012 Greendale Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. Upon qualification, one $1,000 non-renewable scholarship will be awarded to a 2011-12 high school senior who is a Greendale resident and planning to attend a four-year college/university this fall. This award will specifically target students who will major in business. Those interested should complete the scholarship application form which is available on the Greendale Chamber of Commerce website at www.greendalechamber.com. Greendale Woman's Club Seeking Scholarship and Grant Applicants

Local organization is looking to award money to worthy applicants.

The Greendale Woman's Club is currently accepting applications for its annual scholarship program. Two $1,500 scholarships are set to be awarded. Requirements include that the person, male or female, be a graduating senior residing in Greendale and that the person is the son, daughter, grandson or grandaughter of a Greendale Woman's Club member.The student must be attending a full-time course of study leading to a degree/certificate from a college/university, technical, vocational or business school. Scholarships applications are available online at the Greendale High School website or by contacting scholarship chairperson Judy Fons at (414)421-3519. Greendale Schools Receives $1,500 Scholarship for Students

The scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

Trane in La Crosse recently presented the Greendale School District with a $1,500 scholarship to be awarded to students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).  Greendale Schools was selected based on its participation in the Energy Star School Challenge, which is a demonstration of energy conservation and efficiency efforts and potential impact of the award. Greendale Schools has established a green culture focused on environmental sustainability. The district has installed solar water heating, new heating plants and digital controls, implemented operational changes, formed a green team of students, staff and community members, began two school gardens to grow produce and use for curriculum and organized a …
