The results are in for the Public Celebrations Holiday Lights Contest. Residents entered their grand lights decor and the judges have spoken. If so, your efforts might just pay off in a contest being planned by the Village of Greendale. The Greendale Public Celebrations Committee is holding a local residential "Holiday Lights Contest" sponsored by the Greendale Entertainment Association. Greendale residents would need to fill out the attached registration form by December 12 in order to participate in the contest and turn it in to the Greendale Village Hall. In a ceremony at the Greendale Public Library on Saturday, the 75th Anniversary Art Contest winners were announced.
A winner for the 75th anniversary art contest has been chosen! The Village of Greendale will celebrate its' 75th Anniversary in 2013. To promote this milestone the Village of Greendale, the Public Celebrations Committee, the 75th Anniversary Committee and the Greendale Public Library held an Art Contest. An artists reception was held on Saturday at the library to announce the winners of the contest. As the excitement mounted the winners were finally announced. The first place winner is now the official artwork of the the 75th Anniversary and the property of the Village of Greendale. Three hundred prints of 'Time and Place' will be made, signed and numbered by Jason Van Roo, and offered for sale. The proceeds of the sale will go to finance …

The Greendale public celebrations committee announced the winners of the local Holiday Lights House Contest on Tuesday night. Over the weekend 25 Greendale entries were judged. Prizes were gift certificates to businesses in the Village of Greendale — first place - $100, second place - $50 and third place - $25. Winners: 1st place- Ryan Salzer on Fielding Lane 2nd place- Art Frey on Horizon Drive 3rd place- Hackbarth and Larson on Municipal Square Also, enter the national Patch "Deck Your House" contest for a chance to $100,000 for the Greendale School District.
