Accused Shoplifter Has Pills With Her, Police Say

A Franklin woman accused of shoplifting from a store at Southridge Mall is caught with pills when she's searched at the Greendale Police Department.

  A 22-year-old Franklin woman is accused of carrying drugs with her while trying to shoplift from a store inside Southridge Mall. Brittney M. Bohmann was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of possession of a narcotic drug. If convicted, she faces up to 1 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Nov. 16, Greendale police officers were called to Paparazzi inside Southridge after store workers caught Bohmann trying to steal two skirts from the store. When officers arrived, Bohmann was crying hysterically and then taken into custody. At the Greendale Police Department officers searched Bohmann and found three Alprazolam pills, two Oxycodone pills and one Amphetamine pill. …

Area ER Doctors To Limit Who Gets Prescription Pain Meds

As prescription pain medication abuse continues to rise, area emergency rooms will likely go Oxy Free in the next few months, meaning patients might get a little more tough love.

Fed up with patients that don’t have legitimate reasons for taking prescription pain medications, emergency room physicians in southeastern Wisconsin will soon be giving large doses of tough love to patients who are doctor shopping. Nationally, narcotic prescription medication abuse, including abuse of oxycodone and oxycontin, is on the rise. So within the next few months hospitals in Milwaukee County are going “Oxy-free” and a Racine-based emergency department is also looking into doing the same. The information-sharing group includes officials from Froedtert Hospital, Wheaton Franciscan, Columbia-St. Mary's, and Aurora Health Care. Man Caught With Oxycodone at Speedway

Milwaukee man is busted by Greendale police officer after he and two friends reeked of marijuana while at the gas station.

A 20-year-old Milwaukee man is facing felony charges after he was caught with Oxycodone at a Greendale gas station. Theodore W. Hansen III was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs. If convicted, he faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On March 24, a Greendale police officer was at Speedway when he spotted Hansen and two other men who all smelled of marijuana. He asked one of the men if he had the drug on him and he admitted. Hansen then also told the officer he had marijuana as well and after searching him, the officer also found a 1 ½ Oxycodone pills. Greendale Woman Faces Felony Charge in 2011 Crash in Greenfield

Suspect took Oxycodone before driving with her 3-year-old daughter in the car and then slamming into an SUV in Greenfield, which also had a child inside.

A 28-year-old Greendale woman is facing felony operating while intoxicated charges after she allegedly slammed her car into an SUV at a Greenfield intersection while driving after taking Oxycodone with her 3-year-old daughter in the back seat. Sommer C. Hayes was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of fourth offense OWI within five years. If convicted, she faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Feb. 24, 2011, a man in Chevrolet suburban was stopped while in the left lane of West Loomis Road and West Layton Avenue, when Hayes slammed her car into the rear and side of his SUV.
