Students from Greendale High School and 19 other area schools took a walk in some big shoes Thursday when they worked one-on-one with local business leaders at the Junior Achievement Business Challenge at Briggs & Stratton Corp. These teens got the chance to test their intellect at running a business using a hands-on computer simulation. From choosing what products to buy, just how much of that product, marketing and capital investments to research and development choices, they were all acting CEOs for a day. The Greendale Village Board approved the Kohl’s Cares: Great Safety Adventure Event on Tuesday. The free outdoor event will be at Southridge Mall on May 11. A $725,000 Kohl's donation is supporting the "experimental" event, in which a large mobile unit travels throughout the area and educates children and their families about reducing accidental injuries in their homes through interactive tools in animated homes. Prior to the event, Kohl's will share a Run of the Show event schematic with the Village of Greendale. Green Bay Packer Jordy Nelson and his family will be at the event signing autographs and participating in the event.
