John Macy Named New Village Attorney
Area lawyer who represents many communities in southeastern Wisconsin will serve in Greendale on an as needed basis, replacing longtime village attorney James Burns.
For the first time in nearly 50 years, Greendale will have a new municipal lawyer. The Greendale Village Board Tuesday gave unanimous approval to appointing attorney John P. Macy as the new village attorney. He will replace current attorney James Burns, who has served in the position for 47 years. “I hope to bring my 32 years of experience here to assist you with your legal work and welcome the opportunity,” Macy said. In addition to Macy’s appointment, attorney Cynthia A. Lepkowski was named to an indefinite term as prosecutor for the village, which will take effect Jan. 1.
