Police Still Investigating GHS Threat

Greendale Police say they are still investigating the incident, in which a written message threatened that something would happen at the high school on the day of the homecoming dance.

Greendale Police continue to investigate who was behind a threatening message found written in a boys bathroom last week, that indicated something would happen at the high school on Saturday, the day of the Homecoming dance. As a precaution, the Homecoming dance was moved from Greendale High School to Greendale Middle School. The dance went off without a hitch. Greendale Police say the investigation into the vague message written on in a boys bathroom is ongoing and there is no new information to report. Police and the Milwaukee County Sheriff' Department did a canine sweep at the school Monday morning, officials confirmed. Greendale High School Ranked By The Washington Post

Sixth consecutive year the high school is ranked by The Washington Post.

Greendale High School ranked on the Washington Post's national High School Challenge that was published on May 21, according to the school district webiste. Out of 1,904 schools Greendale High School ranked 1,210. This is the sixth consecutive year that Greendale High School is included on the list that is compiled by Washington Post columnist Jay Mathews, according to the Greendale School District. The list ranks public schools according to a Challenge Index – a ratio calculated by dividing the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or other college-level tests given by the number of graduating seniors.
