During the holidays The Greendale Public Library collected $1,480 through the Holiday Mitten Fundraiser. Donations will be used to support year-round services and programs, in particularly youth programming. The biggest donation was $330 for standing desks used for additional catalogue computers. Over 30 items were purchased, said library director Gary Warren Niebuhr. Donations ran as small as $4 for markers. Toys were also donated and are currently being used for the "Story Time" at the library. People donated the money value of the items and put a mitten on the tree with the item and the donor's name.
