One Killed in Franklin Accident

A vehicle left the roadway and struck a grove of trees Friday morning near Highway 100 and Drexel Avenue, according to a report.

A 60-year-old Franklin man had an apparent medical issue before crashing Friday morning near Highway 100 and Drexel Avenue, according to Patch's media partners at Fox 6. The man's vehicle left the roadway and struck a grove of trees shortly after 10 a.m. He was found unresponsive in the car and pronounced dead at the scene, according to WISN-TV, which first reported the crash.

Sheriff's Deputy Suffers Minor Injuries in I-94 Accident

A pair of accidents mid-day Tuesday on I-94 near Layton Avenue caused no serious injuries.

A Milwaukee County sheriff's deputy suffered minor injuries on I-94 Tuesday after a semi struck his squad car. The accident happened about noon, in the northbound lanes near Layton Avenue. The deputy was responding to a two-car crash and was inside the vehicle when it was hit, according to the sheriff's office. The deputy went to the hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported in either crash, which caused a traffic backup over the lunch hour.
