Man Robbed at Gunpoint For Guns, Police Say

Two Milwaukee men are accused of breaking into a Greendale man's apartment so they can steal his guns, including one with a grenade launcher.

Two Milwaukee men are accused of breaking into a Greendale man’s apartment, then holding him at gunpoint to steal his various guns. Mario Emmanuel James, 24, and Lamont Donnell Sholar, 31, were charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of robbery with use of force and one count of burglary. If convicted, they each face up to 35 years in prison and $150,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Oct. 27, 2010, the victim was inside his apartment in the 5800 block of Tower Road, when he heard a knock at the door and saw a man standing outside who was asking for a man named Rodriguez. Burger King on 76th Street Closed for Remodeling

It's another example of a business improving its look along busy 76th Street.

Burger King, 4980 S. 76th St., closed last week as construction crews give the fast-food restaurant a new look. The restaurant, is expected to reopen later this month or in early November. When the renovations began, the restaurant’s drive-thru remained opened, but the city’s health department stepped in and stopped the drive-thru operations Oct. 4. While the remodeling does not directly impact the kitchen and food preparation areas, it does impact the access of staff to appropriate restroom facilities, and per the state’s food code, staff must have access to those facilities, Greenfield Health Director Darren Rausch wrote in an email.
