Baseball Field Renovations To Begin After Graduation
Officials are pushing for the field to be ready in time for the 2014 season after renovations that include an artificial turf infield.
Renovations of the Brinkman baseball field are on track to begin after graduation, with the goal of getting the field ready in time for the 2014 season. The Greendale School Board on Monday approved a construction manager contract with CG Schmidt, which came in with a low bid of $27,500. CG Schmidt also managed the 2007 high school renovation project. Plans will be submitted to the village this week for board approval in June, Director of Building and Grounds Brian Koffarnus said. "Our engineering process is moving along," he said. Plans call for a turf infield and natural grass outfield, a new outfield fence and an orientation in the east-to-northeastern direction.
