Greenfield Police Continue Search for Associated Bank Robbery Suspect

The man entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding large bills.

The Greenfield Police Department is looking for a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred at Associated Bank, 4811 S. 76th St., late last week. According to the department’s Facebook page and the police report, at approximately 5:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, a slender black man, approximately 5-foot-4-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding bills in denominations of 100s and 50s. The teller gave him money and the suspect left the bank. He was described as being 20 or 21 years old and was wearing a New York Yankees baseball hat over a mouton-style hat with ear flaps. Updated: Panther Pub and Eatery Planned for Village Center

A village native plans to bring a Greendale athletics-themed pub and eatery to the old Associated Bank Building in the Village Center.

A Greendale athletics-themed pub and eatery could open in the Village Center sometime next summer. Panther Pub and Eatery would be at the old Associated Bank building on Broad Street. Greendale native and would-be owner Mike Drilling says he’s still in the process of purchasing the building from Associated Bank but everything is looking good. A special request permit has been submitted to the Village of Greendale for exterior and interior renovations. Drilling says he always envisioned a Panther-themed restaurant. As a Greendale High School graduate and eight-year assistant baseball coach, Drilling wants this restaurant to be a source a fundraising for various Greendale non-profits, especially Greendale High School organizations. “I like …

21 Associated Banks to Close, Greendale is Among Them

List has yet to be confirmed by bank officials after it was released by a customer service representative.

Associated Bank is closing 21 branches and Greendale is among those, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. A customer service representative provided a list of banks that schedule to close to the newspaper, however, a spokeperson for the bank would not confirm the list till sometime next week. Most of the branches that are being closed are within about two miles of another Associated location. The Greendale Associated Bank is located in downtown on Broad Street. The next closest location is on the 4800 block of 76th Street in Greenfield. Associated is know to participate in many Greendale downtown events. Click here to read more about the closings.

Too bad for the seniors, Associated Bank address 4800 S. 76 St is a very long walk from Greendale Village for our seniors. We are talking mainly about older people who don't drive anymore. I have accounts at three Greendale Banks, it looks as though I will be doing most of my banking at old reliable Layton State on Broad St who have been there forever and have a wonderful staff.
