Everyone wins at the ‘Casino Nite Raffle’ Saturday February 2nd 7:00 PM at the Greendale American Legion Post 416, hosted by the Sons of The American Legion.
Purchase a raffle ticket for $12 and spend an evening with friends playing blackjack at the Casino Nite Raffle. This single raffle ticket is all you need to get in the door, get a seat at a blackjack table, and be eligible for one of the many door prizes. Raffle tickets are pulled and door prizes awarded throughout the evening. No waiting until the end to be a winner. However, at the end of the evening, all the raffle tickets (including winners) are put back in the bin and are eligible for the grand door prize, a flat screen TV. Wow! What's your position with American Legion Post 416 and how long have you been part of the American Legion? I’ve been with the American Legion for over ten years plus. The last eight have been as Commander. Can you give a short summary of what the American Legion does? The American Legion is the world’s largest and most influential of US wartime veterans, families and communities. The Legion has something for everyone under its four pillars of service: Veteran Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, Children and Youth. The Village Board approved a special permit request from the American Legion to sell poppies in May to help the needs of Veterans.
The Greendale Village Board approved the annual request from the American Legion to sell poppies on May 18 and 19 outside of Speedway. The poppy is the official flower for the American Legion Auxilary. Proceeds of the sale will be used to assist Veterans’ needs and rehabilitation. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 18 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 19.
