Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center Asking for Help in Relocating

Rescue Center asks for donations to secure new building for rescued animal operation.

The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center has found a new home in Greenfield, a move that became necessary when the organization found out they would have to .

The Center sent out a press release saying they have made an offer on a  building, the inspection has been completed and they have applied for the necessary permits. The only remaining contingency is the financing. The group has until November 15th to raise the required funds to close on the property.

In order to do so, the Center has set up a capital campaign with several 'giving' levels for donors to help raise the needed money. Pictures of the new building and additional information are on the organization's website.

Amy Rowell of the MARC says, "This property will allow us to be more operationally efficient and will also increase our financial independence and security. It contains a main building and a large garage."

"We have developed a plan to renovate the garage into a community Clubhouse to showcase visiting dogs from foster care, facilitate individual and group training & behavior classes/seminars, sponsor special events, and more."

Additional plans for the new facility include a special area for cats, meeting space for groups, a small retail area and increased and improved opportunities for volunteers.

The group says if it is unable to meet the financing requirement by the deadline, all funds raised will be kept in a restricted-use fund and held until another compatible property is located.
