What Would You Like to See in Next Year's Village Celebrations?

The Public Celebrations and 75th Anniversary committees are already working on next summer's celebrations that include 4th of July, 75th Anniversary and Village Days.

just ended less than two weeks ago and the Public Celebrations Committee is already working on setting up for next summer celebrations.

The Village Board already approved parade permits for July 4th and Village Days.

The July 4th Parade in 2013 will be on Thursday, July 4th from 10 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. The parade route will again start on Grange between 76th Street and Northway and proceed down Northway to Broad Street to the Greendale High School Parking Lot. The parade time in 2013 will be the same as it was this year.

The 2013 Village Days Parade will be on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 12 p.m. to approximately 1:30 PM with the same route as the 4th of July parade.

The 75th Anniversary committee has already booked the Badger Band for the 75th Anniversary celebration on August 8, 2013. The performance will be held at the football field. This is only one of many entertainment events to be planned for the celebration.

Kudos on booking the Badger Band! They are super and will generate a lot of enthusiasm with the great show which they perform. I would be happy with just an Eleanor Roosevelt look alike; I don't think that FDR was with her last time she appeared in the Village;) I agree on reviving old traditions. We are lucky to be citizens of this Village. Greenbelt and Green Hills have got nothing on us.

The Badger Band will DEFINITELY be one of the highlights of the entire event. Everyone, from the ages of four to eighty-four, will greatly enjoy their performance!

A lot of great ideas. We need people to run some of these. We are already in the planning stages for an Alumni Village showing items and happenings about Greendale from 1938 until present. Feel free to join us in the planning of this event. The Badger Band will be huge and we thank Jim and Bonnie Cyganiak and their family for sponsoring this for us.

Not so sure about the toys, some of the members tend to get really drunk at and after shows, their crew is really arrogant, they charge alot of money and musically they realy arent that good.
