Burning Ban Lifted for Greendale, Greenfield

Though the region is still considered a drought disaster area, local fire departments are lifting burning bans.

The was lifted Friday Greendale and Greenfield, according to a fire department press release.

The two communties, as well as Hales Corners and Franklin are , including Menomonee Falls.

The bans are being been lifted after a few days of rainfall, and despite the drought , including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Ozaukee and Kenosha counties.

The ban, , included open burning (in outdoor fireplaces, pits and camp fires) and private use of consumer fireworks (including sparklers, caps and novelty fireworks).
