75 Years of Greendale Grads Reunite for Village Days

The Alumni Reunion Village kicked off in Greendale Friday evening and will continue Saturday. See what's in store.

Hundreds of Greendale graduates came together Friday for the opening night of the Alumni Reunion Village during Village Days 2013, with alumni spanning most of the village's history.

The Alumni Reunion Village officially began during a ceremony Friday, when Virginia Emmons, one of the first five babies born in Greendale in 1938, and Bruce Meyer, who was in the first Greendale High School graduating class in 1950, did the honors.

Alumni also heard from Greendale schools Superintendent John Tharp and Martin Luther High School Principal Wayne Jensen.

The Alumni Reunion Village will also be open Saturday from noon until 6 p.m. in Dale Creek Park (behind the east shops on Broad Street). There will be class photographs from 2 to 4 p.m.
