Youth Football Meeting Saturday

An informational meeting for parents whose children are interested in the Greendale Youth Football program next fall will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Middle School multipurpose room.

The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and provide basic information about the contact football program open to Greendale students in grades 5-8.  Football coaches will be available to answer questions that parents might have.

Registration for the 2011 season is scheduled for January 22  at the American Legion Post 416, located at 6351 W. Grange Ave.  Registration will be from 10:00 to noon.

Players’ height and weight information is collected during registration.  Player application forms can be downloaded in advance from the group’s website: greendaleyouthfootball.org. Volunteer assignment forms must be submitted when registering.  Since the Greendale Youth Football program  is a non-profit organization, it depends entirely on its volunteers.

Cost is $100 per player, plus a $25 refundable deposit for equipment.  Please make checks out to "GYFL."  Players are also required to sell $80 worth of raffle tickets which will be collected at the equipment handout in August.

The Greendale Youth cheerleading registration will take place in March following completion of the group’s competitive program.
