ViewFinder: Pictures of Youth Art Month at Library

It's Youth Art Month at the Greendale Public Library, and more than 100 pieces of art from Greendale students are on display.

In celebration of Youth Art Month and in keeping with an annual tradition, more than 100 pieces of art from Greendale students are on display throughout the Greendale Public Library this month.

"This is always one of my favorites times of year at the library, it's so festive," said library director Gary Niebuhr. "We have a mission that keeps the arts and humanities as a focus art and have art on display throughout the school year, but with it being Youth Art Month, there is a lot more art on display than usual with this exhibit."

The collection is mostly made up of art from Greendale Middle School students but also includes selections from elementary and high school students in Greendale's public school system.

The art is viewable during the library's regular hours and will remain on display until the end of March. An exhibit of student work from parochial school students in Greendale is scheduled to be held in May.
