School District Annual Meeting Booklet Will No Longer Be Mailed

The booklet will be posted online and in other building in the Village.

The Annual Meeting Booklet for the will be posted on the website instead of being mailed out to residents but a card will be mailed notifying every resident with links to the site.

Normally the distrit mails the booklet that contains information of the "financial condition of the school district as well as a review of the achievements, needs and a view of the future of Greendale Schools."

Years ago the legislature changed the requirement of mailing the school performance report to all residents, instead schools are able to post it on the website and keep in the district offices for review.

Many schools have already stopped printing and mailing the books, according to a memo from Superintendent Bill Hugues. This will save the district money in production and mailing costs. Erin Green, business manager for the school district, said that this would also go along with their green intiative at Monday night's meeting.

School board member Vicki McCormick said it would be better to notify them of the change because then residents would be looking for the booklet in the mail. Board members agreed to send out the card to residents notifying them where they can find the booklet online and in other buildings in the Village.
