Results of Preview of Champions Marching Band Host by Greendale

Eleven high schools competed this weekend.

hosted the annual Preview of Champions marching band competition at Gavinski Stadium on Sunday. Over 2,000 spectators watched 1,800 band students perform from 11 high school bands competed at the event in four divisions.

Three special exhibition performances were done by Franklin High School, the Greendale Marching Band and the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire Blugold Marching Band.

The results:

1st place, Class A - Wisconsin Lutheran
1st place, Class AA - New Berlin Eisenhower
2nd place, Class AA - Whitnall
3rd place, Class AA - Fort Atkinson
4th place, Class AA - Cudahy

Best percussion, Class A/AA - New Berlin Eisenhower
Best colorguard, Class A/AA - Wisconsin Lutheran
Best musical presentation, Class A/AA - New Berlin Eisenhower
Best visual presentation, Class A/AA - New Berlin Eisenhower

1st place, Class AAA - Cedarburg
2nd place, Class AAA - Sauk Prairie
1st place, Class AAAA - Waukesha North
2nd place, Class AAAA - Waukesha West
3rd place, Class AAAA - Oak Creek
4th place, Class AAAA - Fond du Lac

Best percussion, Class AAA/AAAA - Waukesha North
Best colorguard, Class AAA/AAAA - Waukesha North
Best musical presentation, Class AAA/AAAA - Waukesha West
Best visual presentation, Class AAA/AAAA - Waukesha North

The Greendale High School marching band will compete at the state championships at UW-Whitewater on October 15.
