Reiman Foundation Pledges $250K for Baseball Field Renovation

The foundation pledged the money on the condition that the school district match the funds. The total cost of the project is $750,000.

The Reiman Foundation has pledged up to $250,000 to the with the condition that the match the amount.

The school board voted on Monday to fund the $250,000.

“We are grateful for the continued generosity of Roy and Bobbi Reiman to our schools,” wrote Erin Green in a memo.

Roy Reiman is known as the founder of Reiman Publications and also owner of Grandhaven, LLC., which leases to most of the businesses in the Village Center. He has also been credited many times for restoring the vitality of the Village Center 15 years ago.

The total cost of the project will be $750,000. The Panthers Home Run Club said they would raise $125,000 and will come to the board for the remainder later on. Designs are still being finalized. The project will be done in phases.

"We view this project as an opportunity to give the residents of Greendale their very own 'Field of Dreams' for generations to come," wrote Grandhaven manager Anne Marie Pierce on behalf of the Reiman family.
