WEAC and Democratic directed school board at work. How much of a raise is under consideration now for 2013? No comment about that from the administration. Nothing new. It doesn't look like they need a big raise does it.
Greendale Citizen December 6, 2012 at 10:42 pm
Leaving their union and the school board out of it...why wouldn't they deserve a raise? Do they not work hard enough to deserve one? Are the results not there to show that our district is top notch? My children receive an excellent education here in Greendale, and I for one thinks every staff member in this district deserves a raise.

Do the Greendale taxpayers understand that the school district is pretty much out of line with the rest of the school districts? Will this district say no? I am glad there is an election coming.

The numbers in this article don't make sense. The top salary for a Greendale teacher is $89,789, which ranks second behind Port Washington‐Saukville ($84,282). This is all how fobar this place is.

Excellent! I'm proud to pay our teachers high. We all know the community benefits of recruiting and retaining high quality teachers!
Greg December 7, 2012 at 12:30 am
Is anybody worried about this pay schedule?

I live in Greenfield and would give my right arm for my child to be in your district. I was even considering trying to sell my house and move but my finances just do not allow. Keep a close eye on what you have and do whatever you can to maintain it.

So you don't think that pay has any correlation to quality of teacher and/or quality of the education? What do you think they should be paid?

We can look up to see who signed a recall of their elected official because of grievances, but weRead More cannot look up who donated large wads of ca$h to the same official's campaign...Thank you GOP for turning that window of open accountability into a one-way mirror with the GOP looking out and everyone else stuck looking inward, wandering why we don't get the same vantage point. A bit hypocritical don't you think? And BTW, your GOP budget just ticked off every principal, superintendent and public school family in the state of WI today. Good luck on that second term of negative growth (-0.74).

Jason- See the IRS for list of donors to pro republican groups. They were illegally collected andRead More distributed. You signed the recall, no one made you do it. Deal with it already and stop changing the subject to interject some off the wall non comparison. ~in solidarity

I think Scott Walker's record speaks for itself in terms of state job growth and misplacedRead More priorities. "Blue fisters" didn't create Scott Walker, he's been a creature of ALEC since the early 1990s. Let's see if he decides to do a Bachmann in 2014. A lot of people who didn't vote in the recall election because they didn't understand/agree may not have voted for him in 2010. Anyone who has a 20-something college grad who can't find a job, male spouse, family member or friend in their 50s who can't find a job, was cut from needed health care benefits, etc., is bound to be looking for better leadership.
