Greendale High School Earns National Yearbook Design Recognition

Greendale High School's yearbook has been recognized for excellence and featured in Jostens' 2012 Gotcha Covered Look Book, Volume 10. The book was chosen out of 3,000 total yearbooks.

Greendale High School’s yearbook has been recognized for excellence and featured in the 2012 Gotcha Covered Look Book, Volume 10 celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and creation

The book was chosen out of 3,000 total yearbooks, and only five schools from Wisconsin were chosen.  Jostens’ Look Book is a collection of spreads and photos from outstanding yearbooks and their creative themes, cool covers, dazzling designs, relevant coverage, storytelling copy and action-packed photography.

The Greendale High School yearbook was created by 25 staff members. The 2011 editors were Emily Klar, Luis Vargas, Alison Mogensen, Marina Declene and Elizabeth Rick, under the direction of Kate Wagner, yearbook adviser.

“It is an honor to be recognized in the Jostens’ Look Book,” said Wagner. “The yearbook staff works year-round to generate creative designs that truly represent and capture the Greendale student body and the events and activities that take place at our school.”

The 2012 panel of judges, comprised of nationally recognized scholastic journalism professionals and award-winning yearbook advisers, selected the best examples of yearbook spreads and photos to make up the 288-page 2012 Look Book.

“Yearbooks are unique, limited edition books created by students to capture the stories and events for all of the school’s students and Jostens is proud to celebrate the yearbook tradition,” said Gary Lundgren, Jostens’ Senior Program Manager/Education. “The yearbooks selected for the Jostens’ 2012 Look Book reflect the sophistication and relevance of yearbook programs.”
