Greendale Announces Candidates for Spring Election
Incumbents will run unopposed for seats during April 3 general election in the Village and for the Greendale School Board.
Greendale voters will not be seeing any new names on the ballot April 3 in the spring general election in the Village.
The deadline for candidates to file nomination papers was today, January 3, at 5 p.m.
The positions up for election are:

- Municipal Judge, with a two-year term, currently held by incumbent Mark Kapocius.
- Village President, a three-year term, currently held by John Hermes.
- Two Village Trustee positions, held by Alan Sikorski and Sally A. Chadwick. Trustees serve three year terms.
All the current office holders have indicated they will be running again for their same positions. The new term of office for Village Trustees will begin on April 17, 2012.
No new candidates filed papers by the deadline today for the Greendale School Board either.

Incumbents Joe Crapitto and Anne Szcygiel have both indicated they will run again for their same seats.
A primary election, which would have been held on February 21, will not be necessary.
