Four Greendale Students Earn National Merit Recognition

Four Greendale High School students have earned recognition from the 2014
National Merit Scholarship Program.

Senior Kirstan Brodie has earned recognition as a National Merit Semifinalist, and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation has named seniors Mark Fuller, Rebecca Miller, and Jessica Stellberg as Commended Students.

All four have received a letter of commendation from the school and NMSC, the organization managing this national program, which recognizes scholastically talented seniors.

Brodie is one of about 16,000 students nationwide to earn the distinction of National Merit Semifinalist and will advance in the Achievement Scholarship competition.

Fuller, Miller, and Stellberg are among the more than 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation who are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2014 competition for National Merit Scholarships, Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
