“GARDENS OF THE FUTURE” Garden Walk with Melinda Myers at Boerner Botanical Gardens

Hales Corners, WI – Gardening expert, TV/radio host, author and columnist Melinda Myers will lead a “Gardens of the Future” garden walk through Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 Boerner Drive in Hales Corners on Wed., July 25 at 6:30 p.m.

The tour will take attendees through one of only 43 All American Selection Trial Gardens in the United States.  The garden walk will also showcase other test plots at Boerner’s trial gardens and even explore some new plants being tested for Wisconsin and for introduction into the gardening world.  

Given the recent hot, dry weather Myers will also be available to answer questions regarding the current drought.

Register by calling 414-525-5659.  Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. 

Cost:   $20 per class for members of the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens; $25 for non members.  Proceeds from the garden walks support Children’s Plant Science and Environmental Education at Boerner Botanical Gardens.

Nationally known gardening expert, TV/radio host, author & columnist Melinda Myers has more than 30 years of horticulture experience and has written over 20 gardening books, including Can’t Miss Small Space Gardening and Month-by-Month Gardening in Wisconsin. She hosts the nationally syndicated Melinda’s Garden Moment segments which air on 115 TV and radio stations throughout the U.S. and Canada. She is a columnist and contributing editor for Birds & Blooms magazine and writes the twice monthly “Gardeners’ Questions” newspaper column.
