Update: Education Foundation of Greendale Annual Celebration Next Week

The Education Foundation of Greendale will host their annual Celebration of Education to fund creative and innovative programs benefitting students and staff in the Greendale School District on June 3.

This fun, informal event will feature entertainment by the Greendale High School Jazz Ensemble I, directed by Tom Reifenberg.

The event will also feature raffle items, limited auction items, in addition to hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

The Education Foundation of Greendale will present the “Inspiration Award” to Judy Fons, who will be acknowledged for her longstanding commitment to schools and the community.  Fons served on the school board for many years, including time as School Board President and has continued to remain active in supporting the Greendale Schools long after her time on the Board of Education ended.

A second award will be presented to the Village Club of Greendale. When the high school pool was being renovated, the Village Club pool was made available for high school swim teams.  When the school district hosted a larger tennis tournament, the Village Club opened the tennis facilities to accommodate the schools.  Each year number of students are employed by the Village Club.

Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased at Greendale High School, Greendale Park and Recreation Department, Greendale Visitor Center or on the Education Foundation of Greendale website at www.efgreendale.org. 

The event will be held at Tuckaway Country Club in Franklin.
