$10,000 Scholarship for Graduating Greendale Seniors

The due date is April 14.

Graduating Greendale seniors attending University of Wisconsin-Madison have the opportunity to apply for a $10,000 scholarship.

The Mark Mensink Memorial Scholarship is for students that demonstrate academic excellence, a dedication to the arts and excellent character and attendance.

The scholarship will pay for a student's first two semesters at UW-Madison, worth about $10,000. It is only open to Greendale students.

Mensink was a University of Wisconsin-Madison student and a Greendale native that was killed by a drunken semi-truck driver in 1991. At Mensink was  involved band, debate, forensics, academic decathlon, school plays, the German exchange program, the Close-up program, student caucus, and math club. In some of those groups he held office and won numerous awards.
