All federal, and state offices as well as banks will be closed on Monday in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The holiday marks the birthday of the famed civil rights leader. King’s actual birthday is on Jan. 15, but the third Monday of January was designated as the official holiday in 1983.
The Village of Greendale, the Greendale Library, the Greendale Public Schools and Milwaukee County offices (with the exception of courts) will be open on Monday.
However, the post office will be closed.
They will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday and regular mail delivery will resume on that day.
