Old Leath Building May be Demolished at Southridge

Likely replacement includes two new restaurants.

Planning continues for the future of the old Leath furniture building, which sits on an outlot at in Greendale.

According to a report on JSOnline, the building is expected to be torn down and replaced by two new restaurants, possibly a Panda Express and a Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant.

As reported earlier by Patch, the Greendale Board of Trustees that Leath Furniture previously  occupied from Southridge Mall with the possibility of selling off the property to another buyer.

The empty Leath building, which has been vacant for several years, is located on the northwest corner of the mall property.

Village officials have declined to name the prospective new restaurants until deal is closed and papers are signed.
