Mobile App Puts Library At Your Fingertips

The Greendale Public Library is easier to access than ever with the release of a new Milwaukee County Library phone application.

Using the Greendale Public Library just got easier than ever with the release of the CountyCat Mobile app.

Renewing books, placing a book on hold, looking up library hours and locations, downloading e-books and more can now be done from from any mobile device. The app allows people to instantly tap into library resources anytime, anywhere.

"Many people live on their mobile devices these days, so it's important for the library to be easily accessible whenever and wherever people need access to our rich resources," said Jim Gingery, director of the Milwaukee County Federated Library System.

"The CountyCat Mobile app puts library information just one click away with much faster access than going through a browser. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this new way to use your Milwaukee County library by downloading our app."

The app also has features such as BookLook Mobile, which allows people to scan an ISBN barcode to see if the library has the title. Another feature, OverDrive, allows people to search and download e-books and audiobooks directly to their device.
