Martin Luther High School Holding its First 'Luther Fest'

The summer fundraiser event will have bounce houses, live music stage, softball tournament, food and beer.

Martin Luther High School will be holding its first ever Luther Fest this summer at the high school.

The Greendale Village Board approved a permit from the school on April 17 to hold the event on Saturday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The fundraiser event expects 1,000 to 1,500 people over the course of the day. It will have five to eight bounce houses, live music stage, softball tournament, food and beer tent.Β  Admission is free and payment will be collected at the activity sites.

To minimize sound intrusion into the neighborhood the stage and speaker system is being pointed south away from the neighborhood north of the high school.Β 

Β "Martin Luther has always been a great asset ot the Village," said Trustee Carl Genz at the meeting to Martin Luther Principal Wayne Jensen. "We're happy to have them here. I also wish you the best of luck and I will probably be there as well."
