Lazich Reacts to the Aburpt Vote in Madison

Mary Lazich released a statement saying that the vote needed to be done.

State Senator Mary Lazich, who represents Greendale, voted yesterday on the modified budget-repair bill that stripped collective bargaining rights from public workers.

Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) issued the following statement:

“For nearly three weeks, the Senate Democrats have delayed approval of a badly needed budget repair bill. The Senate Democrats ignoring their responsibilities as elected officials have ignored repeated efforts to negotiate on the bill. Something needs to be done to balance the budget in the current year and avoid large-scale layoffs of public employees. By approving Senate Bill 11 (Wednesday), Senate Republicans avoid layoff.
