Historical Society Members to Vote on Police Station Proposal

If approved, the proposal will be submitted to Village of Greendale officials, who are considering what to do with the former police and fire building and the municipal parking lot.

The Greendale Historical Society could determine next week its next move in regards to the Village of Greendale’s request for proposals for the redevelopment of the downtown area that includes the historic police and fire station.

According to EverythingGreendale.com, the society has called a special membership meeting for 7 p.m. Sept. 19. There, members are expected to vote on a proposed submission by the society to the village, according to the blog.

The village opened up the proposal process this summer

Proposals are due by noon, Sept. 27, and village trustees will begin reviewing the proposals in October.

The historical society meeting will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 6705 Northway.
