Update: DPW Ramp Rehabilitation Project Contract Approved By Board

A contract of over $250,000 was approved.

The Village Board approved the Department of Public Works’ ramp rehabilitation contract with LaLonde Contractors Inc. to oversee the $257,975 project.

Instead of fixing the ramps Tisonik and officials said that replacing the ramps would be cheaper.

A couple of other contractors submitted bids, but the village officials felt that LaLonde was the best fiscal way to go.

“We’re very glad that it went this way and the village will see 50 years of service of this (ramps),” Tisonik said.

Tisonik hopes to have the project done by May and is planning for extra staffing to have operations “run a little smoother.”
