Did Clint Eastwood's Speech Make Your Day?

Spot on or embarrassing? Perfect or putrid? You tell us!

At 9 p.m. CST, Clint Eastwood took the microphone at the Republican National Convention, and as he spoke for the next 12 minutes, the audience cheered.

However, critics have called the speech "rambling," as the actor spoke to an empty chair that was supposed to represent Barack Obama.

Perhaps taking the tack that other speakers didn't want to, he was sharp in his criticism of the current administration, calling Vice President Joe Biden 'a grin with a body behind it.'

So if you've had a chance to see his speech, what did you think?

if you "love this country" why are willing to hand it over to the millionaires & billionaires who don't create jobs, hide their $ in overseas tax havens and are willing to throw people off Medicare and Social Security? Ryan claims he wants to "save" Medicare and Social Security but then people like you come on these forums and say that these programs are Ponzi schemes. I want to see just ONE senior citizen willing to hand their SS or Medicare over to Ryan and try and tough it out on their own. You have been duped by the richest A-holes in the country . . . are you really that naive to believe that the rich give a damn about you or I?

@Jason - Aren't the wealthy a part of this country too? Don't they also deserve fair representation in our government? Your side and Party have demonized the wealthy and want nothing more but to punish them, as your little rant clearly indicates! All you've done here is displayed that you've swallowed the class warfare propaganda and rhetoric of the left hook, line, and sinker! Grow up and come back when you have some better material!

@Jason If someone creates Wealth like Bill Gates (Americas Richest) doesnt he make everyones life better. I mean you are on a computer with his software. He didnt make me poor by becoming Rich. In fact the opposite is true . He made your life better. Thats the only way business succeeds . It has to produce what people endorse with the resources they spend. Sadly Jason you are in the same boat as Obama. You havent a clue why Capitalism works . The Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mitt Romney stories are what makes America Great. We suppose to feed you from gradle to grave for being a moron and brag about it ? That doesnt grow the pie ....that takes away from society. THATS NOT THE AMERICAN DREAM .Get a clue or a basic economics book.

@ Dean Garr.... You know who I feel sorry for? The AMERICAN PEOPLE that have A INCOMPETENT JACKASS SITTING IN THE WHITE HOUSE DESTROYING THIS COUNTRY. MR. EASTWOOD DELIVERED A GREAT SPEACH WITH AN EMPTY CHAIR THAT REPRESENTS THIS BOZO THAT I REFUSE TO CALL PRESIDENT and IS AN EMPTY SUIT and HE HAS THE RECORD TO PROVE IT.

A while back there was a man who had accomplished very little in his early life. He aspired to greatness by making speeches, using empty slogans and stirring people up, mostly by blaming successful people for their troubles. The masses were enthralled by his rhetoric and handed over power to him despite the fact he had no real ideas, or experience to fall back on. The people were fooled back in 1933. We made a mistake in 2008. Let’s not make it worse by giving him more power.
