Considering Repavement of Parking Lots in Village Center
Most of the parking lots being discussed are owned by The Village of Greendale.
The Village of Greendale has been discussing with Robert Popp, owner of the Gazebo, and with Grandhaven LLC, owner of many of Broad Street buildings, about repaving the parking lots on Broad Street.
Todd Michaels told the Committee of the Whole on Tuesday that Grandhaven said that the Village could help the Village Center by repaving the streets.
The project could be added to the 2012 Budget in the Capital Improvement Fund or 2012 Paving Program, according to Michaels. The Village would only pay for the paving done on Village property.

The committee agreed that the project should be considered.
Village President John Hermes said that he would like to analyze other roads before committing to this project.
"Roads have to be replaced over a period of generally 20 to 30 years," Hermes said. "We have to take an educated look at other roads in the village. We don't want to sacrifice those for paving that has been done recently or sacrifice other roads that are in far worse condition."
Trustee Allan Sikorski said, "I think this is something we need to consider because we're always talking about bringing people to the Village of Greendale and we are all proud of the town, yet if we are going to have roads like Greenfield that's a mistake."
