As Part of Deal to Avoid Litigation, Rock Sports Seeks Greendale Permits

Greendale officials will consider approving a biking course during hearings on Wednesday and next week after a dispute over the Rock starting construction without the proper permits.

As part of an agreement struck to avoid litigation, Greendale officials will start the approval process this week of a biking course in the Rock Sports Complex, the Milwaukee Business Journal reports.

Early last month, the village threatened to file a lawsuit against the baseball, skiing and biking complex and Milwaukee County because Greendale said the Rock started construction of the biking trail without the proper permits. The Rock Complex grand opening is slated for July 19.

Though most of the complex is in Franklin, portions of the bike course run through Greendale.
