At 9:30 p.m. Monday, the victim was laying in bed in her home located in the 5300 block of Lilac Lane when she heard something being tossed at the side of her house and then looked out the window to see her husband fleeing down a foot path. After looking outside she found golf balls and a soft ball laying on the grass which he threw at the side of the house.

She then called police who combed the area and were unable to find him, however, minutes after the last marked police car left the scene, the man returned to his car parked near the area and was arrested by other police waiting.

The man told officers he had been in Waukesha for a guitar lesson and decided to drive to the area in order to take a walk because he knew the area well. He told police he had stopped behind his estranged wife’s house but decided to extend his walk after he saw all the police cars in the area.

The husband is free on $500 cash bail while awaiting trial.
