Teen Accused of Fraudulent Transactions With Greendale Woman's Debit Card

Suspect charged $501 to the vicitm's card, including a $304 purchase at Champs.

A 17-year-old West Allis man is facing charges after he used a debit card stolen from a Greendale woman to buy items across Milwaukee County.

Eric J. Ausbon was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Friday with one count of forgery. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

On July 11, the victim contacted Greendale police after she found her debit card had been stolen and nine transactions had been made in two days at businesses around Milwaukee County. A total of $501 was charged to the card, including a $304 purchase at , which was traced back to Ausbon.

Ausbon was confronted by officers and he admitted to making the transactions and scribbling a name at each transaction.

He will make his initial appearance in court Thursday.
